The Whole Bit
Crafter. Horsewoman. Mother… The Whole Bit!
Hi, I’m Janet Sealey, crafter, horsewoman and creator of The Whole Bit. Growing up in the Canadian country side prancing around on a stick pony and riding on the backs of imaginary horses, or more accurately the backs of neighbourhood kids, was gone for good when I embarked on my equestrian journey at the age of seven working with real horses. Throughout my journey, I have had the privilege of learning from remarkable trainers, starting with my early experiences at Pony Club Camp and continuing through my participation in the A Series Show Circuit. Their guidance has profoundly influenced my approach to the development of my creations.
Meticulous attention to detail serves as the foundation for every project I undertake. Achieving results requires dedication; after all, no risk means no reward. These principles resonate in every one of my creations. Sleep often takes a backseat as I find myself awake, envisioning a new products or refining design elements. It's difficult to articulate, but my passion for my work motivates me to put in long hours while still managing the chores associated with our farm nestled in Alberta’s foothills.
The support from my family has played a crucial role in my success. Their physical, moral, and financial assistance has been invaluable; without it, I wouldn't be able to pursue my passion. Every day is an adventure, filled with the thrill of crafting something unique, whether it’s a beautifully detailed piece of equestrian gear or an innovative design that brings function and elegance together. I am grateful for the journey, for the lessons learned, and most importantly, for the love and encouragement of those who believe in me. Together, we continue to ride the path of creativity and passion, hand in hand, heart to heart. ❤️
